ZIOPHARM is actively seeking to in-license drugs to develop for cancer treatment.
Drugs can be in various stages of clinical development. We are looking throughout the world, and we actively encourage partnering or business development managers to contact us with in-licensing proposals. You will find ZIOPHARM to be extremely responsive to your inquiries. Our business model is based on developing licensed drugs. ZIOPHARM's value is based on the clinical quality of the drugs we develop, and the timelines to FDA submission and licensure. We are professionally, ethically and financially motivated to move drugs through clinical trial phases as efficiently as possible. We are closely aligned with the clinical and drug development strategies embodied in the early drafts of the FDA's Critical Path Initiative, designed to streamline drug development. It sets forth a clear willingness and openness to considering new ways of approaching trial design and endpoint selection, including the use of biomarkers as surrogate endpoints and computer modeling and simulation to streamline the clinical trial process. Each product entering the ZIOPHARM pipeline will be evaluated carefully to determine the best enrichment strategy for speed-to-market and the best return on investment. We will analyze clinical trial results using the extremely vigorous standards of current clinical trial practice. Our clinical development programs are designed so efficacy of a specific agent can be quickly determined in an oncology population with unmet medical needs. Each product candidate should also meet the criteria of having potential value to a wide variety of cancer patients. We are flexible with regard to financial arrangements. We know there are certain norms in the business, and we use those as the beginning point to create sensible deals that provide ample opportunity for risk-reward sharing with our licensors. You will find us very approachable and open to all formats of deal structure. We seek excellent products and happy partners. | Businessweek article July 23, 2007 issue More Businessweek article May 5, 2008 issue More FOX Channel 26 in Houston, recently reported on ZIO-101 Full Coverage ABC Channel 13 in Houston, Texas, recently reported on ZIO-201 Full Coverage ABC Channel 13 in Houston, Texas, recently reported on ZIO-101 Full Coverage ZIO-101 listed as 100 Great Investigational Drugs by R&D Directions More ZIO-201 listed as 100 Great Investigational Drugs by R&D Directions More May 13, 2008 ZIOPHARM Receives Notices of Allowance for Two U.S. Patent Applications Covering Darinaparsin More May 12, 2008 ZIOPHARM Oncology Reports First Quarter Results More ZIOPHARM 2008 Annual Meeting April 23, 2008 Click Here for More Information FORTIS Biotech Conference April 3, 2008 Click Here for More Information ROTH 20th Annual OC Growth Stock Conference February 19, 2008 Click Here for More Information BMO Capital Markets Focus on Healthcare Conference December 4, 2007 Click Here for More Information Click to receive news alerts |
